I draw with dip pen and ink on paper, a technique that dates back to the reed pens of 3000 BC. This simple method allows me to concentrate on the think line or what the Italians refer to as disegno. I start with a line drawing and then shade the elements to give them three-dimensional quality. To reinforce the three-dimensionality I work in logic according to which all objects in a drawing function.
My hands are my main language - they are both familiar subjects and mysterious extensions of my body and consciousness.
